This Required Standards of Care Contract ("Contract") is made and entered into on this ____ day of _________, 20 ("Effective Date") by and between Sacred Sphynx Cattery ("Breeder") and the undersigned purchaser ("Purchaser"). 1. PARTIES Breeder: Sacred Sphynx Cattery Purchaser: __________________________________________ (Full Legal Name) 2. PURPOSE The Purchaser agrees to provide lifelong, responsible, and loving care to the Sphynx kitten ("Kitten") purchased from Sacred Sphynx Cattery, in accordance with the standards outlined in this Contract. This agreement is made to ensure the Kitten’s ongoing health, safety, and well-being. 3. REQUIRED STANDARDS OF CARE The Purchaser agrees to adhere to the following care standards for the lifetime of the Kitten: A. VETERINARY CARE Vaccinations: The Purchaser agrees to keep the Kitten updated on all core vaccines as recommended by a licensed veterinarian. Deworming: The Purchaser agrees to deworm the Kitten at least once every six (6) months or as advised by a veterinarian. Emergency Contact: In the event of a medical emergency or any planned or unplanned veterinary visit, the Purchaser agrees to notify the Breeder immediately at the following contact number: [Insert Phone Number]. B. LIVING CONDITIONS Caging: The Purchaser agrees that the Kitten will never be confined to a cage except for brief periods for medical reasons or safe transport. Indoor Living: The Kitten will live indoors and will not be exposed to outdoor temperatures below 74°F (23°C) unless absolutely necessary (e.g., a trip to the vet). Sunshine and Stimulation: The Purchaser agrees to provide the Kitten with regular opportunities for sunshine and stimulating play to support mental and physical health. No Toxic Environments: The Kitten will live in a calm, safe, and non-toxic environment. The Purchaser agrees to ensure that the Kitten is not exposed to: Domestic disputes, loud or aggressive behavior, or physical conflict within the home. Rambunctious or aggressive children who could harm or stress the Kitten. Other pets that display aggression toward the Kitten or cause undue stress. C. DIET AND HYDRATION Quality Diet: The Purchaser agrees to provide the Kitten with a high-quality, nutritionally balanced diet suitable for the Sphynx breed. Filtered Water: The Purchaser agrees to provide the Kitten with clean, filtered water at all times. 4. FAILURE TO COMPLY If the Breeder determines that the Purchaser has failed to meet any of the care standards outlined in this Contract, the Breeder reserves the right to: Reclaim the Kitten without compensation to the Purchaser. Hold the Purchaser financially responsible for any veterinary or recovery costs resulting from the neglect or mistreatment of the Kitten. Seek legal action to enforce the terms of this Contract. 5. RETURN POLICY If the Purchaser is unable or unwilling to continue caring for the Kitten for any reason, the Purchaser must contact the Breeder immediately. The Kitten must be returned to Sacred Sphynx Cattery, and the Purchaser agrees not to rehome, sell, or transfer the Kitten to any third party without the Breeder’s written consent. 6. GOVERNING LAW This Contract shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota. Any disputes arising under this Contract shall be resolved in the appropriate courts within the State of Minnesota. 7. ENTIRE AGREEMENT This Contract constitutes the entire agreement between the Breeder and the Purchaser and supersedes all prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral. Any modifications to this Contract must be in writing and signed by both parties. 8.
